California State University Northridge receives grant to expand digital library powered by CONTENTdm
California State University Northridge (CSUN) Library has received a $137,176 grant from the California
State Library to digitally preserve the San Fernando Valley's political and social history.
The project will add to the University's acclaimed San Fernando Valley History Digital Library
which provides the public online access to papers, photographs, and other memorabilia about the area's rich and
colorful past. The Digital Library runs on CONTENTdm and brings together material from a variety of local historical
societies and CSUN collections.
The San Fernando Valley History Digital Library
officially opened last year and receives more than 2,000 search requests
each month.
