About the Acquisition Station
CONTENTdm is a database system that allows you to create and view collections of multimedia files. With CONTENTdm, you can store multimedia files of any format (audio, video, documents, or still images). You can then search and view these files and their accompanying text description. You can also save these items in your own project space and view them in HTML files that contain thumbnail pictures of your selections.
The Acquisition Station is the component used to acquire, annotate and upload the multimedia files.
Hardware, OS, Connectivity and Software Requirements
- Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows NT Workstation 4.0 with Service Pack 6a
- Intel® Pentium® III or 4 processor
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or later.
- 64MB RAM (or 256MB RAM for the JPEG2000 Extension, Version 3.8)
- Minimum display resolution of 1024 x 768
- 128KBS or faster connection
Scanners used with the Acquisition Station must be TWAIN compliant.
